ANXIETY

While stress and anxiety are natural and sometimes healthy responses, they can often lead to unhealthy behaviors, physical symptoms, and ongoing difficulties in relationships and work/school. 

Issues with anxiety can be especially tricky to handle because sometimes it feels like the anxiety pops up out of nowhere. For children, this can be even more difficult to pinpoint because the anxiety often shows up as acting out behaviors, like not listening or throwing a tantrum.

With therapy, we can work on ways to identify triggers for anxiety, recognizing the somatic (physical) sensations associated with anxious feelings, possible preventions, and ways of managing those feelings of anxiety when they come up.
